Boomer Esiason

Inducted into the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame in 1990. Played at Sachem High School, graduating in 1983, then attended the University of Maryland. He was an NFL veteran quarterback for 13 years from 1984 to 1997, where he played for the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets and the Arizona Cardinals. Boomer was the NFL's 'MVP' in 1988 and a 4 time Pro Bowl selection. He founded the Boomer Esiason Foundation, which helps in the research of cystic fibrosis, a disease his son has been stricken with. Currently he is a sports commentator and reporter for major radio and television stations.
