Tom Veryzer

Inducted into the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame in 1995. Played at Islip High School and graduated in 1971. He was immediately drafted as the #1 pick of the Detroit Tigers in the free agent draft, and the 11th pick in the nation. Tom went on to play for the Tigers, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets and Chicago Cubs.
