Pro soccer player Allie Long was inducted to the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame in 2021, but the ceremony was virtual and she never formally received her plaque.

That changed this fall when she was presented the plaque by Hall of Fame Executive Director Chris R. Vaccaro at the Gotham FC training facility in Whippany, New Jersey.

Long, a Northport native, won a national championship at North Carolina and a World Cup with the U.S. Women’s National Team.
