NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman was an inductee of the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame for the Class of 2019. He was unable to attend the ceremony on May 16 because of his NHL playoff travel schedule.

Bettman, a Dix Hills native and Half Hollow Hills alumnus, accepted the honor at his office in Manhattan at NHL headquarters with Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame Executive Director, Chris R. Vaccaro.
