A Sayville native, a former NFL quarterback and one of the most accomplished players in the history of University of Maine football.

He’s one of the greatest quarterbacks at Maine, holding 23 school passing records – including the records for passing touchdowns and passing yards in a game, season and career.

He was named Yankee Conference Offensive Player of the Year in both 1987 and 1989. Led Maine to a share of the Yankee Conference championship and multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.

In 1990, he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints.

Played five seasons in the NFL with the Saints,  Cardinals and Miami Dolphins.

Following his professional career, became a respected, longtime offensive coordinator and teacher at Walt Whitman High School.

He’s also in the Sayville Athletic Hall of Fame.
