Suffolk Sports Hall of Famer Kevin Cassese is onto his next lacrosse adventure. After 17 seasons as the head men’s lacrosse coach at Lehigh University, he accepted the position of associate head men’s lacrosse coach at Virginia.

“There is so much to love about UVA,” Cassese said in a statement. “It starts at the top with coach Lars Tiffany and athletic director Carla Williams. I cannot thank them enough for making this opportunity a reality for me and my family.”

A former U.S. lacrosse player and coach, he played at Comsewogue and Duke and is also an inductee of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
