Rich Cimini started his career in journalism as the editor-in-chief of his high school newspaper “The Harbinger”, at Sachem High School, where he graduated in 1981.
He went on to study at Syracuse University, where he wrote for “The Daily Orange” and covered the school’s Division I athletic program.
He also worked for the New York Daily News and Newsday and currently at ESPN, where he’s been since 2010, responsible for the day-to-day and year round New York Jets’ coverage across different platforms – digital, television and radio. He also writes and biogs for ESPN.com.
He is also a member of the Sachem Athletic Hall of Fame.
Cimini was named New York State Sportswriter of the Year in 2020.
Rich lives with his family in Setauket.
