Carlton “Hubbie” Edwards was a starting pitcher on Long Island’s semi-pro baseball circuit in the mid-twentieth century. He is remembered as a star of the Setauket Athletic Club in the 1950s, a period in which this formerly all-white ball club integrated members of the all-black Suffolk Giants and Suffolk Giants Juniors.
