Sean was a standout football player at Westhampton Beach High School before continuing his career at Penn State University.

Earned unanimous All-American honors in 1981 and Second-Team All-American honors in 1980.

He was also a two-time First-Team All-East selection in 1980 and 1981, establishing himself as one of the nation’s premier defensive players.

He was the 17th overall pick in the 1982 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Named to the NFL All-Rookie Team in 1982. Earned Sporting News First-Team All-NFL honors in 1984.

Played 11 NFL seasons and  123 career games.

After the Buccaneers, he played for the Patriots, Broncos, and Seattle Seahawks.
