Ferraro is a former NHL hockey player. He and his identical twin brother Chris became the second set of identical twins to play on the same NHL team (the New York Rangers) in the 1995-96 season.
He was born in Port Jefferson. He and his brother played in the 1985, ’86, and ’87 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with the Flyers’ and Rangers’ minor league hockey teams.
He was the first of the twins to be drafted into the NHL, being drafted in the first round, 24th overall by the Rangers in 1992.
During his career, Peter played for the Rangers, Penguins, Bruins, and Capitals. With 166 combined games in the NHL, he and Chris have never been far apart.
He currently runs Ferraro Brothers Elite Hockey with his brother at Newbridge Ice Arena in Bellmore.
