In 2019, the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame debuted a historical marker program honoring places of sporting significance around Suffolk County.
The program will look to honor at least one location per year in the coming years.

- Location: Bridgehampton, NY
- Year: 2024
- Historical Significance: Location of road race track from 1957-1999 that hosted the World Sportscar Championship, Can-Am, and NASCAR Grant National Races. Many of the world’s most famous drivers competed on this track, including Mario Andretti, Richard Petty, AJ Foyt, and more.

- Historical Significance: In May 2025, the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame installed its sixth historic marker at Argyle Park in Babylon Village to honor the New York Cuban Giants—the first all‑Black professional baseball team, founded at the Argyle Hotel in 1885.
