Suffolk Sports Hall of Famer Carol Rainson-Rose is one of 23 individuals named National Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Coaches Association.

The legendary Northport girls lacrosse coach is being honored for her work during the 2018-2019 school year.

Rainson-Rose, who is now on the selection committee of the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame, was an inductee with the Class of 2015.
