Induction Year: 2013

Location: Sachem
Kaczmarski was a girls’ basketball star at Sachem High School, where she graduated in 1999 and rated the No. 1 prospect in the nation by Women’s Basketball Journal.
Her career totals were: 2,583 points (school and Suffolk County records and second all-time on Long Island when she graduated), 581 rebounds, 253 assists, 128 steals and 95 blocks.
She is the only female athlete to have her jersey (No. 23) retired, and one of only five total athletes at Sachem to hold this honor in the school’s 55-plus year history.
She went on to play one season at UCLA, then transferred to Georgia, but injuries got the best of her career. She had a tryout with one WNBA team two years after college and was drafted by another, but decided to retire from her playing career.
