From 1962 through 1974, Gloria Kruckel coached field hockey, basketball, softball, and track and field at Seton Hall High School in Patchogue.

She helped develop recreational athletic programs in her parish, utilizing the C.Y.O. guidelines, in various sports, and assisted in establishing both boys’ and girls’ teams.

Kruckel also helped establish a girls’ athletics program through the Catholic High School Athletic Association.

She resides in Lake Ronkonkoma.
