Mitch Kupchak, an original inductee of the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame in 1990, has been named as the new General Manager of the Charlotte Hornets.
Kupchak, a Brentwood native, was most recently in charge of the Los Angeles Lakers.
An All-American at the University of North Carolina, Kupchak won three NBA titles as a player, one with Washington and two with Los Angeles. He won another two as an Assistant general manager and four as a general manager with the Lakers.
