A longtime Westhampton resident, Ann Liguori pioneered broadcast and sports journalism.

She is the first woman to host a call-in sports talk show on WFAN-NY, the first all-sports radio station in the country. The show aired every week for 25 years and featured interviews Ann did with legends such as Jim Brown, Jean Shepherd of ‘The Christmas Story,’ stars from all the N.Y. local pro teams, experts on various topics in sports, and Ann taking calls from sports fans.

Ann hosts ‘TALKING GOLF with ANN LIGUORI’ on WFAN-NY and streams on Audacy.com on Sunday mornings, 8-9 AM, April through September, each season. The show recently won a GRACIE AWARD for ‘Best Sports Talk Show’ in a Major Market in June 2023 and several ING Best Golf Radio Show media awards.

She continues to host the ‘Sports Innerview’ radio show, which is heard on Saturday mornings on NPR’s WLIW.

Ann was also the first woman to host a prime-time weekly show on the GOLF CHANNEL. Conversations with Ann Liguori featured Ann interviewing celebrities who shared her passion for golf while she played golf with them.

Before WFAN-NY and Ann’s syndicated cable show, Ann freelanced for a variety of outlets, including CBS Sports, where she was a PA for the NFL Today Show; ABC Radio Sports, where she covered NY local pro and college teams; HBO, where she was a statistician at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open;

Ann is the author of ‘A Passion for Golf, Celebrity Musings About the Game’ which came out in 2nd edition in 2007 (Taylor Trade Publishing), Ann’s second book, ‘Life Lessons in Golf,’ featuring Jack Nicklaus, Ben Crenshaw, Tom Watson, Gary Player, Nancy Lopez, Jan Stephenson, Amy Alcott, and others, will be published in 2024.

Ann has covered 40 U.S. Tennis Championships and counting, 25 Masters, all for WFAN-NY and counting, and countless U.S. Open Golf Championships, PGA Championships, and Open Championships, as well as every Ryder Cup since Brookline in 1999.
