Linda Schulman, the mother of inductee Scott Beigel, was the guest of Congressman Tom Suozzi at this year’s State of the Union. Schulman, who accepted the honor on her son’s behalf in 2019, is one of Suozzi’s constituents and lost her son Scott in the tragic mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School more than two years ago.
