Bob Muir coached soccer, basketball, baseball and track at Mattituck High School for over 30 years.

His record in soccer was 509-52-33, with 11 county titles and 14 league titles.

In basketball he had 10 league titles, in baseball he had one county and five league titles and in track he had one county and two league titles.

The fields at Mattituck High School are named in his honor.

He received the Freedom Foundation Medal in 1962. He died in 1992.
