Isaac Ramaswamt was an outstanding wrestler at Sachem High School before starting his coaching career shortly after graduation in 1985.

By 1992, he was coaching the New York State Junior National Team. As a wrestler, he was a two-time U.S. National Champion and an Eastern Greco Champion.

He placed third in the 1992 U.S. Olympic Team Trials and second in 1996. He is currently the Sachem East Varsity Wrestling Coach, where his team members have won numerous titles, which include 44 league, eight county and three state championships.

They were the 2013 and 2014 Section XI champions, and he has coached multiple national champions and All-Americans.

In 2014 he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame for a lifetime of service to wrestling in the United States. He is also a member of the Sachem Athletic Hall of Fame.
