Constantine Ricci was a semi-professional baseball player on Long Island during the regional sport’s mid-twentieth century heyday. He is best known as the starting third baseman for the Riverhead Falcons team that would face Satchel Paige and the Philadelphia Stars in what is now considered a historic moment in baseball history. Ricci, who played every inning of every game during his 1950 season with the Falcons, tallied two hits and an RBI in the Falcons’ matchup with the Stars.
