Hofstra Athletic Director Rick Cole Jr. was the latest guest speaker as part of the educational partnership between the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame and Port Jefferson High School’s sports history class.
Cole, who was inducted into the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame in 2021, was the athletic director at Iona and Dowling. He also worked at Stony Brook and St. John’s. He spoke to the students about the complex nature of college sports and what drives him as a leader in this field for over 30 years.
There will be monthly guest speakers connected to the Hall of Fame, all offering deep insight into sports history, business, and media.
