Suffolk HOFer Stan Wilcox Speaks with Port Jeff Sports History Class

Suffolk Sports Hall of Famer Stan Wilcox was the latest guest lecturer to speak with the sports history class at Port Jefferson High School through an educational partnership with the Hall.

Wilcox serves as EVP of Regulatory Affairs for the NCAA and previously served as an athletic director at Florida State, Duke, and Notre Dame. The North Babylon native also played in four NCAA men’s basketball tournaments at Notre Dame.

He offered insight into his career path and spoke about many modern facing trends in college sports, from NIL rights to the hiring of a new NCAA president this week that will help with many legal and political issues facing the organization.

There will be monthly guest speakers with connections to the Hall of Fame, all offering deep insight into sports history, business, and media.
