Sensei Figgiani, a Suffolk Sports Hall of Famer, hosted an anti-bullying workshop at his dojo. It was a perfect event to speak to these kids about leadership and goal-setting, using the Hall of Fame to inspire them to strive for something bigger than all of us.

I asked them to explain a leader to me. Their responses made my day: confident, courageous, respectful, and guiding others. If this group of 50-plus kids shows that type of character in their lives, we’re in good shape!
