Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame President Chris R. Vaccaro was named to the 2023 Long Island Power List by Long Island Press.

Citing his leadership and the growth of the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame since he took over in 2017, this was integral in his recognition.

“The Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame is one of many hats I wear, and to be recognized among the leaders of Long Island for the work I do in sports, media and education is gratifying,” he said. “As I often say, I hope to honor the past and inspire the future.”

Vaccaro was honored in late June at a ceremony at the Heritage Club at Bethpage State Park.
