Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame Welcomes 2018 Interns

The Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame is proud to launch a summer internship program this year.

We have two students from Suffolk County who are helping with a large digital archive and web development project.

Bobby Vaccaro, who attends Five Towns College in Dix Hills, is majoring in mass communications with a concentration in broadcasting. Adam Bubb, who attends SUNY Fredonia, is majoring in public relations.

Among the tasks of our summer interns are scanning decades worth of historic archival material, and formatting the more than 300 inductee web profile pages of our Suffolk Sports Hall of Famers.

“We are in the process of rebranding and building new digital platforms that will carry the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame to a modern and progressive era,” said Chris R. Vaccaro, Executive Director. “Our interns are a huge part in helping with the initial phase of digital restoration projects I have established as a top priority for the Hall.”

Any students interested in working with the Hall of Fame should email SuffolkHOF@gmail.com.
