As a basketball official he worked everything from youth leagues to professional games for the old East League.

He was one of Bobby Knight’s favorite officials.

Uniquely, he also played minor league baseball with Willie Mays.

Sullivan was one of the inaugural inductees of the Suffolk Hall.
